Power has been waiting for the right rider to come along to maximise his potential and he has finally found her with Bree Petrowski. They are making a great partnership and having heaps of fun together.

ESB Irish Power

"I have owned ESB Irish Power for about 9 months, and during this time we have come together as a team so much. He's a massive dude and within a week of having him we were ready careering around the paddock bareback.

At our first competition he really showed the draught in him by not putting a foot wrong even when my nerves took over to earn us a second place in the dressage. Power and I have been to 9 different comps, and we have consistently placed top 5 in the dressage and top 10 overall. Power's favourite phase is definitely cross country, and not a single photo taken has his ear back and he can just go and then keep on going. At our first straight dressage day, Power bought home 1st place and a champion.

Each week, with my two coaches help, we are getting stronger and stronger and we are just about to make the move up to EA95.

ESB Irish Promise

“ The first ESB horse that I ever purchased with the help of mum and dad was ESB Irish Promise. Promise is the most willing most giving and bravest horse that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Under saddle Promise is the horse that is so confident she gives you confidence.

Promise’s strong suit was always in the jumping. Cross Country she was so smart and clever and knew what her job was and how to do it she was the type of horse that would do it without a rider on her if she got the chance. You would pull out the jumping saddle and she would whinny with excitement. With Promise you really built the partnership and she was that special horse who knew what you were thinking and really could work together.

She was always complimented by other riders and coaches just how much heart she had, she had something that cant be described and cant be taught she just wanted to please.

Unfortunately Promise suffered a broken hip in her stable one night and is no longer a competition horse. Enjoying her job as much as she did retirement didn’t come easily to her, but now she is enjoying a nice relaxed life with the occasional trial ride usually carrying a beginner rider keeping me and ESB Golden Goblin company."
